A year-long traveling exhibition entitled, Lisbon Expo'98
Vision, begins November 16, 1998, with the first showing at the Miami International
Airport Concourse "D-E" in Connector Gallery. The images on display were created
by Miami photographer Raul Pedroso. Mr. Pedroso, honored as Architectural Photographer of
the Year 1998 by the American Institute of Architects, Miami Chapter, presents the second
in a series of projects documenting World's Fair architecture. The show runs from November
16, 1998 through February 28, 1999. The photographs highlight Lisbon landmarks and contemporary architecture
created for EXPO '98, staged in the Portuguese capital May 22 through September 30, 1998.
Included are 26, 16"x20"-inch color inkjet prints showing the urban environment
that will be the legacy of this World's Fair, as well as buildings that reflect the charm
and traditions of the historic city. The exhibit also includes 2, 8"X10"-inch charcoal drawings from artist Alejandro Aguilera.
Previously, Mr. Pedroso photographed the 1992 Universal Exposition in Seville,
Spain. He founded Miami-based Solo Photography in 1987. His work has been published in Architectural
Record, Professional Architect, Time, Photo Pro, and Florida
